After my tour in Vietnam, I was fortunate enough to get stationed in Germany. Soon after getting there, Shereen met and befriended many people, one of them was Sigrid - who became a very close friend of Shereen's. As a result of this friendship with Sigrid and her husband Bob, we then met Kenny and Sue. We (Sigrid, Bob, Kenny, and Sue, and of course us) ended up being the 'six musketeers' - there were just so many social functions that we attended together. So often we'd visit at each other's houses for dinner or just a visit for a few drinks and casual discussion. We also joined a Sunday night ballroom dance school (although I went dragging and kicking - I'm not a dancer by any means). But we had so much fun. I'm not sure if I actually learned anything, but it was just yet another way to share our friendship. Wonderful memories of days gone past with good friends and good times. It's tough to write about some of these things, but Shereen's story and life need to be told - she was just such a precious wife and mother, and her many friends added to her enjoyment of life.
