Shereen passed on this day at about 2:00 am. I did not notify Denise until about 7:00 am, who, with Andrea, went to the hospice to say her (their) final good-bye, after which Shereen was moved to the Nuuanu Mortuary. Per her long-standing desire, she was cremated on 5 Mar 2011. Her ashes are still with me as part of a memorial I have to her in our home. When Denise and Andrea return to Hawaii in January 2012, our plan was to scatter some of Shereen's ashes to the ocean in a Hawaiian religious ceremony, but when they did come to visit me for the 2011 Christmas and New Years holidays, Denise talked to me about not having that ceremony but instead to maintain the memorial I created. I agreed, and so Shereen's ashes remain intact without having been scattered as originally planned. When I pass, my ashes will be combined with Shereen's so that we can remain together forever, and will kept with Denise.
